10 Books To Get You Ready For Summer (As if You’re Not Already)

PicMonkey Collage3

This week’s Top Ten Tuesday (hosted, as always, by The Broke and the Bookish) is a Choose Your Own Adventure. So naturally, with the warm weather already here, I had to go with summer. Beach reading, here I come. And you, too, if I have anything to do with it!

Land of Love and Drowning by Tiphanie Yanique:

Mermaids in Paradise by Lydia Millet.

Silver Girl by Elin Hilderbrand.

This One Summer by Jillian and Mariko Tamaki.

The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald

Dangerous Girls by Abigail Haas.

Seating Arrangements by Maggie Shipstead

We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

Mrs. Heminway by Naomi Wood

Circling the Sun by Paula McLain

What do you like to read once the summer rolls around?

  1. Excellent list! It’s hideously hot here today and I am bewailing the onset of summer. Dammit summer! Every year with this muggy heat! But I do have Mermaids in Paradise waiting for me at home, and I agree, it’s a very good read for summer.
